MARUG Integrates JD Edwards User Group

Merging two software companies is a daunting task with a myriad of considerations. As PeopleSoft continues along the path of integrating the PeopleSoft and JD Edwards customer bases, software product lines, and customer support, it is only natural that the voices of the user communities be integrated as well.

User Groups and Special Interest Groups have long been critical to the success of JD Edwards and PeopleSoft; the involvement and influence of user groups will remain so in the new PeopleSoft. To facilitate the effectiveness, influence, and value of this critical resource, JD Edwards and PeopleSoft user groups throughout the world are being merged. The pace of this integration is being driven at the local user group level.

In the Mid-Atlantic region, the JD Edwards and PeopleSoft user groups are proceeding quickly to accomplish this integration. The PeopleSoft Mid-Atlantic Regional User Group (MARUG) board includes representatives from organizations using all the major PeopleSoft and JD Edwards product lines.

We are merging our planning processes, meetings/events, and resources to ensure that we are leveraging the expertise throughout the user community for the benefit of all.
